NEW[s] for U
That's right guys, it's been just a little while since the new chairman has come and the school ADMIN team is planning a lot of things to give a good first impression during the inspection.
Some Things like "every class should be loaded with attractive charts" are being taken seriously.
The whole day is a waste, when you're doing nothing but making charts in school. School was more of a CHART WORKSHOP in the past two days.
The Director of our School ( my apologies if i've commited an error ) couldn't take it any longer when today's inspection got bust. Apparently an empty Lays wrapper was found near the entrance of the School itself, and that created more than half of the chaos today.
He entered many classes and started telling people about cleanliness and "MUCK". He was planning to ban the canteen itself as there was too much litter scattered around school. In that case Sir, wouldn't it be nice if the Book Store was banned? That way all the paper balls will vanish. Banning Bisleri Bottles was another issue. His entire talk was filled with bans.
It's a pity that one doesn't realise that bans aren't the solution to any problem.
Another thing. He expects us to keep extremely quiet during the inspection. What do you expect? If you choose to hold an inspection during the U.T's obviously there will be a lot of academic discussions going on, and i don't see anything wrong in that. [ correct me if im wrong].
And again, he spoke masses about the whole Lays incident. Are class 12 students the only consumers of Lays in School? His words were filled with Sarcasm as he called Class 12 Students role models. Well, the way he put up with the pressure sure showed us how to perform under pressure. Who's talking about role models now?
And the "no-movement outside class" rule. Come on, it's a school, not a military Boot Camp. There are bound to be instances where students need to move to different classes for certain reasons.
There are just so many more points I wish to cover, and I wish I could elaborate the above points a lot better, but time is a major problem as the UT's are going on. So I leave it here for today.
NCS Mumbai is the only school I've known which changes it's regular school activities, time-table just for an inspection.
My Question is why? Can't a school run normally the way it's supposed to be. Why should an inspection interfere with the running of the school?
The gravity of the situation could be felt when they actually made a few classes clear the mess inside the School Premises. [Shramdaan]
That's all that Time Permits me to write.

After today's school, I seriously felt that NCS Mumbai is merely an experiment of the Naval Education Society,Indian Navy.
After all, our school is just about 2 decades old. Probably they should look at other schools which were setup at least 50 years ago. Experience in such fields does count here.Learn from them instead.NCS Mumbai is the only school I've known which changes it's regular school activities, time-table just for an inspection.
