Inspection Day...(for a day)

Yes...As Predicted...Today was the great Inspection Day...The Day when the School gets it's best arrangements done only for the "elite visitors"(Principal's Description)...or should I say...special arrangements only in their presence.
The whole Idea of an inspection is too see whether everything is running well.
But Our Beloved Principal Changes the whole schedule of the school (including the time table) hampering all Practical Sessions and Study periods just for the inspection period. Whatever happened to our Pro-Academic Principal? Did she even think about the students?

Mentioned below were the Special Arrangements made only today:
  • School Flag at Entrance.
  • Water Fountain Switched on Outside School.
  • The Red Carpet [this one can be ignored...]
  • SHORT BREAK CANCELLED !!!
  • Students Denied to Use Labs.
  • Forced Usage of "Bharatiya Vidya".
  • Water Supply in Toilets.
Let me elaborate further. Everyday when a student goes to the washroom to wash his face, the taps are always out of water. Today, water was not a problem at all...All on FULL FLOW. What makes it even more suspicious is that as soon as I went to the washroom after the Inspection concluded...Water Supply ceased again. What more can I say...

What's the point in giving a longer long-break anyway? It's like this: Why can't we eat BreakFast,Lunch and Dinner at the same time??? The Question seems rhetoric to me at least...

Why is the Principal doing this? Let the Inspection Team look at the school the way it is...not like how it happened today. Here's the reason why the arrangements were made:

NO SHORT BREAK

No Short break obviously means no students near the canteen, which also means no Fights, no Pranks, no Noise.

NO LAB ACCESS

We all know how disciplined we are in the School Labs. A lot of students meddle with the devices and chemicals and so once again...No Students in Labs...No Problems...

Forced Usage of "Bharatiya Vidya"

You must have heard of the phrase:" the show OFF must go ON...".
The Principal specially mentioned that the "Vidya" Program must be used for ever study period during the inspection process.
But then...what's the point? If school was made to run as usual, then the Inspection team would have actually known how frequently the Vidya Program really is used? Is it worth the time and money? Are the Students Benefiting from it?
Ok..Forget I said all this...Remember earlier (check earlier posts)..ie. a few weeks back, the Principal had told the Teaching Staff very frankly that the Bharatiya Vidya Program is to be discontinued. Then What happened to it now? It's anazing how decisions change due to situations...and School is where we supposedly learn about being confident and sticking to one's decisions. Interesting I must say...

My Sincere advice to the Inspection Team...First Of All...I hope they have realised that they have been literally FOOLED today by the Principal.
If they want First-Hand Information about the school...do visit our school on random occasions (ie. visit the school when nobody knows about it). This way you shall see the School in it's true colours. Then hopefully a few shortcomings of the school can be tweaked...

Hiding the Institutions mistakes is not a solution...and shall never be.

One more thing...Here are a few lines taken from the Morning Assembly:
Principal: "Let's show the elite visitors that we are a part of one of the best schools in Mumbai."
Ma'am, not that I hate NCS Mumbai...but let's be realistic...Government Schools are no match for Private Schools. The whole administration structure is entirely different. I know as I am an Ex-Student of St.Mary's ICSE Mumbai....and share similar thoughts with my fellow students who have been to a private school before.
So is it "Best Government School"??? If so...then I concur with the Principal.
