Are Rules just made to be Broken?
How many days have you bunked already?
Are you aware of this rule: [Turn to Pg. 19 of School Almanac]
Turning to Page 23 Point 12 which states that "using of Foul Language are punishable offences", I realised that almost every student can be held guilty...including me...*oops*.
I just mention this to someone in School, and I get a reply like this:
"Do whatever you want as long as you're not caught".
Seems reasonable...Doesn't it? Seems worth a discussion.
Speaking of being caught, some students of Class 12 [ not just this batch..even the previous one ] usually go to school via a Car, Scooter or a Bike or a Kinetic equivalent. If only they could turn to page 22 Rule 3 which states that:
"No Student is allowed to come to school by a self-driven scooter, motor cycle or car etc."
The Best part lies in the fact how a fellow classmate got away with this by a close shave. Recently my classmate had come to school on a Scooter and was seen by Class 10 and 11 English Teacher Mrs. Seema Ramesh. Taken by surprised, he was speechless when Ma'am entered our class just before the break. Here was how the Conversation went:
Ma'am : [Student], how did you come to school today?
Student : Ma'am...um...uh...well...
Ma'am : Was it a Two-wheeler?
Student : Yes...Ma'am...I mean...No..I came by a cycle.
Ma'am : Are you sure it was a cycle?
Student : Sure ma'am.
Ma'am : Or was it a Scooter...
Student : (interrupts) no..no...Two-wheeler...
[ Caught Red Handed...But it gets better ]
Ma'am : I hope you know what you've done.
Student : [thinks he's going to be punished for using the Scooter.Instead...]
Ma'am : Is the Helmet just for show?
Student : [Huh?]
Ma'am : Next time if I catch you without a helmet...you just watch...(gives a stern look and leaves)
Hmm...interesting isn't it.....Although credit should be given to Seema Ramesh Ma'am for forgiving him in the first place, if the student knew what he had was wrong beforehand itself, I wonder why he still did it anyway...
Oh Yes....The Student's name is Not Displayed to protect his identity.
Are you aware of this rule: [Turn to Pg. 19 of School Almanac]
- 90% Attendance is compulsary for students to be eligible to write the final examination.
- 75% Attendance is compulsary for students of class X and XII to be eligible to appear for the board examinations.
