My (SE)XIE Life !!!

Hey People,
The Blog has been looking great.
It's been a week since my college has started and I guess I've seen enough to write about me life there.

The college Xavier Institute of Engg. (XIE) is in Mahim which is in the heart of Mumbai. (Thank God for that).
Going there is not much of a problem as it's close to the station and the train-crowd is always in the opposite direction (but heck, trains are still full).

Teachers there are super-freakin'-awesome...They make screwd-up subjects like Mechanics so easy to understand and pick up. Our Math Teacher fits in the same category....I've always hated Complex Numbers...but she has changed that for me now.

Since XIE offers only 3 streams ( Comp Engg, IT, EXTC ) a lot of money and attention goes to infrastructure (which would otherwise be used for Mechanical,Electrical and other streams) and so our Labs are FUN-TASTIC!!!
Once we get our ID's we can access the Internet from college using our id's...cool huh?

The Library is my heaven. It's got books only on Comps....If i ever get bored, that's my hangout...I can see myself becoming a nerd soon (oh crap...what am i doin' to myself??)

The Batch is good, and I'm finding gr8 ppl to hang out with every single day.

But The Programming Teacher Sux!!! She can't count, uses 'understood' in places where you need 'understand', has no idea what a plural is, appears colourblind and can't even spell error-prone!!!
Her explanations are putrid and her code speaks for itself.
But it's still fun as I get to take her case everyday...

The college timings are hectic: 8.30am to 5.30pm
But we get Saturday's off...
For the first year I have classes twice a week from 6pm to 10pm...So that takes up my entire day and I hardly have any energy to even catch a train and get back home.
How I still manage reach home remains a mystery (even to me).

Except for the shitty schedule, what pisses me off the most is that THE GUYS:GALS RATIO IS PATHETIC.
My class has around 50 people and out of that, there are only 13 girls and only 3 of them are HHHHHOOOOOOOTTTTT!!!!!!!

But the best part is that the hottest chick is just one roll number before me!!!
Now I just hope that I'll be able to concentrate on my practicals.


So far, it's been great (and tiring) and I only hope it continues like this (other than the schedule).

I'll keep adding in more stuff when there is something interesting to pen about.

this 6 day routine is tiring....

both of us r in the same conditon simmilar SIX bedded rooms..man u shud see
my bed its full of clothes n pratik calls my cupboard a dustbin...as messy as ever..still im survivng on.....roommates are awesome.. frm ap,mp,pune(not a maharashtrian:(..),jaipur n delhi..they are a almost perfect blend of funlovin n studious ppl.....
if ntn ill surely be an awesome dhobi wen i get out of here....almost everyday i hav 2 wash clothes..
but life here is fun coz every1 arnd u is in the same state..a bit less messy though...

ive made a few gud frnds here...nice guys...
so hope to hear frm u guys more often....out here

heeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyy everybody!!!!!!!!

long time eh........well this is my introductory post.......read on.....

vellore......sweltering heat....ppl hu speak nothin xept tamil......a place which is basically built around CMC vellore........
vit....on the other hand......cant be more different.......home to 10000 odd students from all over the country......amazing campus........great college......nice environment to study(which i am not doing at the moment).........and not soo gud food....but manageable...

i have taken up electronics and instrumentation(...i still donno xactly wut that is).....rahul has taken up electrical and electronics.......so we both arent in the same class....but we meet often...
college is nice....some teachers are gud.....others just amaze me.(if u no wtt i mean)........
class of 100...its soo different from school where u knew each and every person in ur class.......

we have physics,chemistry and maths( all of them which i hate despite being an engg student!!)....,history(which never ceases to amaze me)....and english...the savior...the only class i look forward to in the entire day........i have classes from 1 to 6:30....which is the worst time anyone can have college.....coz thats the time i really feel sleepy....and add to that.....quantum physics....water treatment and calculus.......(i hope u understand wtt i am going thru...TORTURE).

i have landed up in a six bedded room.....god noes how.....its even smaller than the room bak home.....the other five are from bihar,up,jharkhand,tamil nadu and ap.......so india is balnced....we all get along pretty well...so thats not really a problem.....its only a problem wen i have to study...which i am yet to do....

the library here is just too gud but unfortunately it is filled up wid books i really dont enjoy reading.........we have 6 days workin....its really hectic.....the sunday goes in doing other things....for example washing clothes...(which is by far the tuffest thing to do...seriously)...

well..that was my introductory post...actually..i think it was a bit too long for a introduction.....cudnt help it...

glad that rahul is here,having fun,trying to study hard but hardly studying,....but missing u guys and mumbai so so very much.........hope we all keep in touch this way....

XAVIER'S and me....?

Good to see that atleast some of you have started blogging......expecting some more interest from the 'outstation' schoolmates now!!!


Anyway, to break into this new form of communication for many of you....just might be tedious.So why don't we all start with an introductory post? About where you are/will be and how college and hostel and new friends and the place are etc etc...

And as always, I'm first :)

Well, for those who still don't know(and once more for those who do) I 'm doing BSc Mirobiology from St Xavier's College, Mumbai.I have Physics and Chemistry as subjects as well.And then there's FC or Foundation course....ULTIMATE boring lecture on Communication Skills and Values and Status of Women etc etc...
College is from 8 to 3.We have lectures in the morning and then PRACS every SINGLE DAY for 6 days a week...!!!! And loads of reference work in the library....XAVIER'S library is awesome , by the way, if you know how to make good use of it.
So basically, I'm exhausted by the time I reach home (around 5 or 6).Malhar around the corner, on 13th and 14th...so lot of excitement about that as well.....

Hey...................itz been a long time since sumone actually wrote sumthing on it......so i decide to initiate it............so do us all a favour......BLOGG!.........our batch has been one of the best batches NPS has ever seen...............so it wud be a shame if we all just fade away into mere oblivion....... a nice way to get together or rather communicate would obviously be to blog n tell us there where abouts ...........so keep blogging people and do keep in touch wherever u all r....

Times have changed, like they were going to...and like they always will.Most of us have moved to different parts of the country or soon will.What used be the most illustrious and "funky" batch NCS Mumbai is no longer unified physically...

But there's no reason whatsoever , as far as I can see and I'm sure you'd agree, that NCS Class XII 2006 should jus disintegrate slowly and inadvertently at the hands of time, space, distance and lack of communication.

I've observed the enthusiasm in all of you whenever the mention of a "GET TOGETHER" would arise...and it is banking on that same feeling of somehow keeping in touch, I felt it viable to revive what once used to be the most voraciously read blogs of school-time.

It is a humble invitation, to oblige or not is your choice.As Head Boy 2005-06 and past ADMIN of this very blog, I felt it an inherent responsibility to send unbiased invites to all whose email ids I possessed.It is upto all of YOU now.....whether or not to spare few minutes from your new lives...

There is no compulsion on when/what/how big/how frequently/ you would post...YOU ALL will invariably be checking be your mails often, right??? So to put in a line or two on the blog to let others know how you're doing........doesn't sound HALF AS DIFFICULT as Organic Chemistry or Integration!!! You needn't write in high-fundoo english or about high-fundoo stuff, just imagine you're sitting in da school canteen in da break and talking....just talking to all of us like old time......!

I trust my confidence in all of you shall not be wasted....we all move ahead in life, but you won't move UP in life unless you secure those bonds you made when times were carefree.Friendship blooms only when you water it......
